Check AI explanations against the textbook, class notes, or a teacher. Ask your child to explain the answer without reading it back.
Do not upload a child’s school ID, report card, classmates’ photos, or other personal details to an AI tool.
Ask your child to try first, explain their reasoning, and check what they have learned. Ask the teacher what assistance is allowed for each task.
Pause and return to the learning goal.
Ask your child to explain the next step in their own words.
Choose a topic from class. Ask for a hint, a simpler explanation, or practice questions, then put the tool away and let your child solve a similar question independently.
For language work, compare a suggested translation with the textbook and discuss the meaning in your home language. The final work should reflect what your child understands.
Ask whether AI is allowed for this task, what kind of help is acceptable, and how your child should acknowledge it. Follow the teacher’s instructions.
